September 2012: "Moonshine in the Making" at Port Discover’s Science Café

Port Discover’s Science Café Presents Swamps, Stills and Science: Moonshine in the Making
Taking science to the local adult community is the focus of Port Discover’s new program, Science Café. The monthly event will be a chance for participants to learn about and discuss science topics presented by local experts. In an informal, casual restaurant setting, participants will be able to add to the conversation and ask questions.

Tim and Michelle Aydlett will launch the program with the first event at Big Daddy’s on September 13 at 7:00 pm by discussing the science of moonshine. They will demonstrate using a mock still and answer questions about the history, recent developments, and science of the process. The public is invited to come and add to the discussion. To register for this program please call 252-338-6117 or email portdiscover@portdiscover.org. Find out more about Port Discover at www.portdiscover.org.
